What do I do if I’m having a problem with my subscription?
You can reach out to me at either [email protected] or [email protected]. You can also just reply to Spitfire News emails directly. I will get back to you ASAP!
Can I send you reader mail?
Yes! I read and try to respond to everything, although it might take me a few weeks (I usually answer them in big batches).
Can I send you tips?
Yes! Just know that I don’t have the capacity to take on all tips and story suggestions, even if I really want to. But I do write a lot of stories this way, and I love hearing your tips and ideas!
Do you accept pitches/are you hiring?
At this stage, I unfortunately cannot accept pitches. For right now, Spitfire News is just me.
What about PR pitches?
I get a lot of PR pitches already. To be honest, I don’t usually respond or do reporting based off these. But it doesn’t hurt to reach out (unless you put me on an automated mailing list, in which case I’ll unsubscribe).
Do you run ads or post sponsored content?
As of right now, Spitfire News is 100% reader-funded. I have never been paid to post anything. If I ever run ads or sponsored content, there will be BIG disclosures. If you’re an advertiser interested in working with me, please feel free to reach out.
Do you follow a code of ethics?
I strive to adhere to the Society of Professional Journalists’ Code of Ethics, which is the industry standard. In addition, I helped create the Survivors Stories Deserve Better initiative for a standard of care in reporting on abuse and sexual violence, which you can learn more about and sign onto here.
Do you have an RSS feed/audio versions of your stories/a YouTube channel/a podcast?
I don’t have any of these things—yet. Emphasis on yet. You can subscribe to me on YouTube here, but I’m not posting yet.
